Attractions

Within 15/20 mins you can be exploring Estepona or the port of Sotogrande. In 30 mins shopping in Gibraltar(duty free), Marbella or Puerto Banus (which offer a host of designer shops and a very lively nightlife).

Nearby attractions are the African Wildlife Park at Selwo, the water park on the outskirts of Estepona and, for marine wildlife lovers, there are several companies in Gibraltar doing dolphin and whale watching excursions.

Within a few hours drive are the historic cities of Cadiz, Seville, Cordoba, Jerez., Granada and Ronda.

A train runs from Algeciras to Ronda and Granada which takes you through some panoramic countryside as well as calling at several  Andalucian ‘whitewashed villages’.

The whitewashed hilltop town of Casares is worth a visit, as is Gaucin and the ever popular Mijas.

If you would like a taste of North Africa take the high-speed ferry to Tangiers from Algeciras or Tarifa.

Tarifa is also worth a vist. as its fabulous beach is a must for parasurfing. The journey  takes you past the hugh wind turbines and provides breathtaking views of the Straights of Gibraltar.
