Duquesa Suites, Golf & Gardens lies about 18 kms south west of Estepona in the western part of the Costa del Sol. The new motorway (carretera) gives easy access to the whole of the Costa del Sol and its numerous attractions.

The Marina of Puerto de La Duquesa is a 10/15 minutes walk and provides a very different atmosphere from the other busier coastal resorts. It provides a wide choice of cuisine including French, Itallian, Thai,  Chinese, Indian, British and Spanish with prices and menus to suit all tastes. There are numerous bars, a selection of shops, some cafes, car hire and banks.

The marina area is closed to traffic thereby making it safe to stroll along the promenade taking in the sailing boats and yachts.

Either side of the Marina there are ‘Blue Flag’ beaches with promenades and Chiringuitos (beach bar/restaurants).

The typically Spanish town of Sabinillas is a 5/10 minutes drive away, or a 10 minutes stroll along the promanade from the port. Here you have additional facilities including another excellent beach and promenade and a childrens

play area alongside an oudoor gymnasium. Here mums and dads can work off the excesses of the night before whilst keeping an eye on the children. There is also a wealth of bars, cafes and  reseraunts, a few shops and several supermarkets. Every Sunday Sabinillas hosts a  very interesting flea market with bargains galore.

The fishing village of El Castillo is a 5/10 minutes drive, or 10 minutes stroll along the promenade in the opposite direction. Here there is a very popular Chiringuito and several very good restaurants as well as a small castle which is open to the public..

The hill top town of Manilva is also 10 minutes drive away and has several typically Spanish bars and restaurants as well as providing some stunning views of the area.
